Frequent Questions

How long have you been an artist?
I did some drawings here and there as a child and young adult – mostly doodles in school notebooks. I began drawing more seriously starting in 2005.

What materials do you use?
At first, it was graphite pencil. From 2005 to 2008 I used colored pencil (mostly Prismacolor Verithins). Now it's felt-tip markers (Prismacolor, Micron, Stabilo). Originals are anywhere from 14" x 17" to 8.5" x 11" - all on Bristol Smooth paper.

How long does it take you to do a drawing?
Between 40-80 hours of drawing time - depending upon size and complexity.

What does bardoodle mean?
A bard is a poet. Most of my drawings from 2006 to 2008 contain words as well as doodles. It was during this time that this website was born. People seem to like the name, so i kept it.

Where is your studio?
In the Phoenix, Arizona area.

Where can I buy your art?
Canvases, prints, and greeting cards can be ordered from my online store and delivered to you. An original can be purchased by contacting me.

Can i commission you to do a custom drawing ?
